Eligibility Requirements
Level 3 Technical Specialist in MOT Test Centre Management (Award)
This qualification is designed for individuals responsible for managing MOT operations, including Authorised Examiner Principals (AEPs) and Authorised Examiner Designated Managers (AEDMs).
It provides the knowledge and skills needed to manage MOT testing operations in line with DVSA requirements.

Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years old -
Role Suitability
You must be: An existing or aspiring AE or AE Designated Manager,
or
A business owner or workshop manager looking to operate or oversee an MOT testing centre -
Good Character
You must be of good repute, as required by DVSA for all AE Designated Managers
This includes no unspent convictions for offences involving fraud, dishonesty, or serious motoring issues -
Good Repute & Convictions
To hold a role within the MOT scheme, you must meet DVSA requirements relating to convictions, good repute and disciplinary history. For full details, see the DVSA MOT Testing Guide – Appendix 7: Convictions and Repute. - This qualification is ideal for those responsible for managing an MOT testing station and is required for anyone who will act as the Authorised Examiner Designated Manager (AEDM).

Course Content Overview
Our MOT Manager Training is designed for those responsible for managing MOT operations, including Authorised Examiner Principals (AEPs) and AE Designated Managers (AEDMs). It develops the knowledge required to manage a Vehicle Testing Station effectively and understand the responsibilities, systems and DVSA requirements that underpin the MOT scheme.
