IRTEC
Large Commercial Vehicle and Bus & Coach Combined Inspection Technician Accreditation
About This Accreditation
IRTEC Combined Inspection Technician accreditation provides experienced technicians with independent recognition of their competence to inspect both large commercial vehicles and buses and coaches.
The combined route assesses the knowledge and practical skills required to carry out effective roadworthiness inspections, identify and record defects correctly, and apply appropriate inspection standards across both vehicle types.
For technicians working across mixed commercial vehicle and passenger transport fleets, the IRTEC Combined Inspection Technician route provides an efficient way to demonstrate competence across both inspection disciplines within one structured accreditation programme.
Successful candidates are awarded an IRTEC Inspection Technician licence, valid for five years, and are entered onto the IRTEC Technician Register, providing independent recognition of their competence and professional standards.
