Level 2 EV training is designed for technicians who carry out routine maintenance and servicing activities on electric and hybrid vehicles but are not required to work directly on high-voltage systems.
The course develops the knowledge and practical skills required to work safely around electric and hybrid vehicle technology, recognise the hazards associated with high-voltage systems and follow appropriate safety procedures during routine maintenance activities.
It is particularly suited to technicians working in service, maintenance and fast-fit environments who increasingly encounter electric and hybrid vehicles as part of their everyday work.

Eligibility Requirements
The Level 2 EV training course is suitable for technicians who carry out routine vehicle servicing and maintenance and need to work safely around electric and hybrid vehicle systems.
No previous electric or hybrid vehicle qualification is required, although candidates should have a basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and workshop safety.

No Previous EV Qualification Required
Previous electric or hybrid vehicle training is not required before undertaking this Level 2 qualification. -
Basic Mechanical Knowledge Recommended
Candidates should be familiar with general workshop practices, vehicle maintenance procedures and safe working practices.
Course Content Overview
This Level 2 EV training course develops the knowledge and practical skills required to carry out routine maintenance activities safely on electric and hybrid vehicles.
The course focuses on working safely around electric and hybrid vehicle systems during routine servicing and maintenance, including recognising hazards and understanding the precautions required when working in the vicinity of high-voltage components.
