Code of Conduct
Our Standards. Our Responsibility.
At Pro-Tech MOT & Automotive Academy, our Code of Conduct reflects the standards we expect in the way we work, the service we provide and the way we conduct ourselves.
Whether we’re delivering training, carrying out assessments, supporting MOT Testing Stations or providing compliance advice, we expect our team to act professionally, honestly and responsibly.
Our Code of Conduct sets out the standards we expect from everyone representing Pro-Tech — and the standards our customers can expect from us.
Integrity
We give honest, impartial advice and communicate openly — even when the answer may not be the easiest one to hear.
Professionalism
We conduct ourselves professionally at all times and treat our customers, learners, colleagues and industry partners with respect.
Accountability
We take responsibility for our work, our decisions and our actions, and put things right when they do not meet the standards we expect.
Excellence
We aim for the highest standards in everything we do, continually improving our knowledge, services and the experience we provide.
What This Means in Practice
✓ Do the right thing — act honestly, fairly and professionally.
✓ Treat people well — show respect to customers, learners, colleagues and industry partners.
✓ Maintain high standards — work safely, competently and in line with relevant industry requirements.
✓ Take responsibility — own your decisions, raise concerns and put things right when needed.
If We Don’t Meet These Standards
We hold ourselves to the standards set out in this Code of Conduct, but if you feel your experience with Pro-Tech has fallen short, we want to know.
If you have a concern about the conduct of a member of our team, the service you have received, or any aspect of your experience with Pro-Tech, please raise your concern with us so that we can look into it and respond appropriately.
Where a concern relates to the delivery or assessment of an IMI qualification or accreditation, we ask that you raise it with us in the first instance. If you have completed our complaints process and remain dissatisfied with the outcome, you can refer your complaint to the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) for independent review in accordance with its complaints procedure.
Our Commitment
At Pro-Tech MOT & Automotive Academy, our Code of Conduct is more than a set of words — it reflects how we choose to work.
We expect everyone representing Pro-Tech to uphold these standards, whether they are delivering training, carrying out assessments, supporting customers or representing us within the wider automotive industry.
In return, our customers and learners can expect the same standards from us: integrity, professionalism, accountability and a commitment to excellence.
