Eligibility Requirements
Level 2 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Hazard Management (for Emergency and Recovery Personnel)
This safety-focused course is specifically designed for first responders, roadside technicians, and recovery personnel working near high-voltage electric or hybrid vehicles
- No formal qualifications required
- Must be working in a role involving roadside recovery, incident response, or vehicle access in emergency situations
As a training instructor in the Fire and Rescue Service, I identified that we needed to get ahead of the curve with knowledge and understanding of alternatively fuelled vehicles. This course has provided us with extremely useful knowledge and practical considerations in order to take back and update our Service on best practice and procedures to apply when attending incidents involving these vehicles. The instructors had extensive knowledge and the collaboration is a perfect way to impart that knowledge jointly.
