Pro-Tech MOT & Automotive Academy offer MOT tester training delivered by Technical Trainers who have extensive inside knowledge of the MOT Scheme. We offer all your MOT training needs from our fully equipped Training Centre, to upskill your existing technicians to become qualified MOT testers.

This MOT Tester Training course consists of 4 training days at Pro-Tech Academy. You will also need to complete a practical assessment observed by our DVSA trained Technical Trainers and an Online theory assessment to complete the course.

After completing the MOT Tester course, the DVSA will need to observe you complete a VT8 demo MOT test, before you can receive your testers license and gain your MOT Tester qualification.

 

Within the 4-day MOT Training course at Pro-Tech Academy, the following contents will be covered:

• Working safely within a Vehicle Test Centre

• Communicating with colleagues and customers

• How to manage and maintain their CPD

• Carrying out pre-test checks

• Carrying out a MOT test

 

Entry Requirements for the Award in MOT Testing Class 4 & 7:

 

In order to attend and complete the MOT Tester Training (Classes 4 & 7) , you must be a skilled mechanic and have at least four years full-time employment in the service and repair of the vehicle types to be tested, a full UK driving licence for the vehicle class you want to test and a Level 3 qualification recognised by DVSA.
