Pro-Tech MOT & Automotive Academy offer Electric/Hybrid Vehicle training delivered by our Technical Trainers who have extensive knowledge of the Automotive Industry. We offer all your Electric/Hybrid training needs from our fully equipped Training Centre, to give your existing technicians and the significant core knowledge, skills and the ability to work safely around and maintain Electric/Hybrid vehicles.

 

​This qualification is designed for those people who may encounter electric/hybrid vehicles within a routine maintenance situation. It also contains the knowledge and skills required to work safely around a vehicle that may have had damage to its high energy/electrical system.

 

This Electric/Hybrid Vehicle course consists of 2 training days at Pro-Tech Academy. Candidates are then required to sit an online theory assessment and carry out a practical skills assessment to complete the course.

 

Within the 2-day course at Pro-Tech Academy, candidates will cover all the knowledge and skills from the Level 2 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicles Routine Maintenance Activities. In addition, the course gives the candidate the skills to:

• Work safely on an Electric/Hybrid Vehicle.

• Carry out repairs and maintenance on high voltage electrical systems.

• Use information from manuals to carry out the task thoroughly.

• Gather information from manuals etc. and making suitable and appropriate recommendations

Entry Requirements for the Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle System Repair and Replacement:

 

Whilst there are no formal pre-requisites, we recommend that candidates must be able to demonstrate that they hold a Level 3 qualification or alternatively have at least 3 years’ experience in the Service and Repair of Light Vehicles in order to successfully complete this course.
