LEVEL 2 AWARD IN ELECTRIC/HYBRID ROUTINE MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES
Pro-Tech MOT & Automotive Academy offer Electric/Hybrid Vehicle training delivered by our Technical Trainers who have extensive knowledge of the Automotive Industry. We offer all your Electric/Hybrid training needs from our fully equipped Training Centre, to give your existing technicians and the significant core knowledge, skills and the ability to work safely around and maintain Electric/Hybrid vehicles.
This qualification is designed for those people who may encounter electric/hybrid vehicles within a routine maintenance situation. It also contains the knowledge and skills required to work safely around a vehicle that may have had damage to its high energy/electrical system.
This Electric/Hybrid Vehicle course consists of 2 training days at Pro-tech Academy. Candidates are then required to sit an online theory assessment and carry out a practical skills assessment to complete the course.
Within the 2-day course at Pro-Tech Academy, the following contents will be covered:
-
Electric/hybrid vehicle system components and operation
-
Hazards surrounding electric/hybrid vehicles
-
How to reduce the risks to yourself and others when working on electric/hybrid vehicles
-
Safely preparing the vehicle when carrying routine maintenance (NOT high voltage components or systems)
